Danyl’s Gay-factor wows Cowell and Youtube

Danyl Johnson, the latest X-factor singing sensation is giving Susan Boyle a run for the talent show treacle, currently racking up hits on youtube faster than you can say ‘Gay!’

Gay media visibility has just taken a giant leap forward with doe-eyed school master Danyl Johnson, not only performing “singlehandedly, the best audition I have heard” (Simon Cowell) on the X-factor, but, in the process is getting millions of women and gay men around the world hot and bothered to boot.

The handsome singer’s audition on last weekend’s X-factor has already scored over 3 million hits on youtube, and following an interview with the Mirror, declaring he is Bi he’s currently busting the worldwide blogometer too.

The 27 year old from Reading, who wowed the judges with his performance of “With A Little Help From My Friends” told the Mirror “I don’t like to conform or be put into one box or another …If I like someone’s personality it doesn’t really matter what they look like or what sex they are.”

There is speculation though that Johnson is actually completely gay and is using the Bi angle to get the public used to the idea. Judging from the reactions he’s getting across the internet though, it seems being gay and open about it is no longer as taboo as it once was in the pop world. In the past, gay performers on mainstream talent shows have kept their sexuality under wraps, but with Danyl Johnson that tide just may have turned.
