It is not known why hemorrhoids enlarge. There are several theories about the cause, including inadequate intake of fiber, prolonged sitting on the toilet, and chronic straining to have a bowel movement (constipation). None of these theories has strong experimental support. Pregnancy is a clear cause of enlarged hemorrhoids though, again, the reason is not clear. Tumors in the pelvis also cause enlargement of hemorrhoids by pressing on veins draining upwards from the anal canal.
Haemorrhoids,
hemorrhoids, emerods, or piles are swelling and inflammation of veins
in the rectum and anus. The anatomical term "hemorrhoids"
technically refers to "Cushions of tissue filled with blood
vessels at the junction of the rectum and the anus". However,
the term is popularly used to refer to varicosities of the hemorrhoid
tissue. Perianal hematoma are sometimes misdiagnosed and mislabeled
as hemorrhoids, when in fact they have different causes and
treatments.

the anal canal.
Sitting
for long periods of time can start the hemorrhoid process. One theory
proposes that it is the shearing (pulling) force of stool,
particularly hard stool, passing through the anal canal that drags
the hemorrhoidal cushions downward. Increased straining during bowel
movements caused by constipation or diarrhea may lead to hemorrhoids.
It is thus a common condition due to constipation caused by water
retention in women experiencing premenstrual syndrome or
menstruation.
Another
theory suggests that with age or an aggravating condition, the
supporting tissue that is responsible for anchoring the hemorrhoids
to the underlying muscle of the anal canal deteriorates. With time,
the hemorrhoidal tissue loses its mooring and slides down into the
anal canal.
Hypertension,
particularly portal hypertension, can also cause hemorrhoids because
of the connections between the portal vein and the vena cava which
occur in the rectal wall -- known as portocaval anastomoses.
Pregnancy may lead to hypertension and increase strain during bowel
movements, so hemorrhoids are often associated with pregnancy.
One
physiological fact that is known about enlarged hemorrhoids that may
be relevant to understanding why they form is that the pressure is
elevated in the anal sphincter, the muscle that surrounds the anal
canal and the hemorrhoids. The anal sphincter is the muscle that
allows us to control our bowel movements. Obesity can be a factor by
increasing rectal vein pressure. Poor muscle tone or poor posture can
result in too much pressure on the rectal veins.
It
is not known, however, if this elevated pressure precedes the
development of enlarged hemorrhoids or is the result of the
hemorrhoids. Perhaps during bowel movements, increased force is
required to force stool through the tighter sphincter. The increased
shearing force applied to the hemorrhoids by the passing stool may
drag the hemorrhoids downward and enlarge them.
Cigarette
smoking during bowel movements, may worsen hemorrhoid, may lead to
severe internal bleeding of veins inside rectum area. Both can cause
diarrhea. Note that caffeine ingestion increases blood pressure
transiently, but is not thought to cause chronic hypertension.
Recent
improved analytical methods have enabled studies on the traceability
and safety of natural products, thus enhancing the acceptance of
these natural commodities. Nature’sPharma has notably broadened its
scope over the years and continues to be at the forefront of the
natural health sector.
Comprehensive
efforts in research and development have demonstrated that many plant
extracts and natural substances are safe and effective medicines.
Moreover, NaturesPharma's specific products continue to yield
significant results. HemorrhoidBalm-Rx
and AntiHemorrhoidDrops
are therefore established as true efficacious anti hemorrhoid
treatments.
HemorrhoidBalm-Rx
and AntiHemorrhoidDrops derive their uses from the action of complex
naturally occurring sesquiterpene and diterpene components. They
improve microcirculation, capillary flow, and vascular tone, and
strengthen the connective tissue of the rectum. They represent an
affordable and realistic treatment option to time-consuming, painful,
and expensive complications of hemorrhoids.
HemorrhoidBalm-Rx
is for topical application and the primary treatment.
AntiHemorrhoidDrops are a dietary supplement homeopathic remedy and
to be taken as needed for more acute or chronic conditions.
Scientific studies further quantify NaturesPharma’s hemorrhoid
extracts produce superior results to eliminate hemorrhoids verse
prescription medication and the most popular natural remedies.
The
botanical extracts in these treatments have been shown to improve
microcirculation, capillary flow, and vascular tone, and to
strengthen the connective tissue of the perivascular amorphous
substrate. To learn more about the ingredients of these treatments,
