If your idea of Heaven is waking up in a traditional seaside hotel room with a champagne breakfast or a good hearty breakfast waiting for you, watching the sunrise over the beautiful eastern coastline then you need to consider looking at some beachside breaks.
If your idea of Heaven is waking up in a traditional seaside hotel room with a champagne breakfast or a good hearty breakfast waiting for you, watching the sunrise over the beautiful eastern coastline then you need to consider looking at some beachside breaks.
Any time of the year is a great time to look at booking breaks in beachside hotels, and
as Summer comes to a close and Autumn approaches, we all know that it’s going to be a while before we start to think about booking that next summer holiday. So many of us look to fill that void with weekends away or mid-week breaks, a stop-gap to keep away the holiday blues.
One of the first considerations has to be the journey, the need to get somewhere in a relatively short time in order to make the most of your break. Also, what’s on offer when you get there, country walks or cycling, nature or heritage, shopping, fine food and coastal walks.
You will need to decide if you want to abandon the car when you arrive and discover your surroundings on foot. Warm winter clothes and an umbrella may not be the height of fashion but are an essential part of any wardrobe once the summer is gone and we await the colder weather.
The Suffolk Heritage coastline has an abundance of things to offer, great country walks, cycling routes, horse-riding, sailing, quaint market towns and a fantastic shoreline for brisk walks to work-up an appetite.
One of the most popular destinations on the coast is Aldeburgh, with it’s pebbled beach and stunning views along the coastline, is a very attractive and stylish market town and is a great place to be based for touring the region.
The White Lion hotel in Aldeburgh probably has one of the best locations, a stone’s throw from the beach, it has 38 character bedrooms and traditional four poster beds, if you’re looking for that something special on your weekend break.
