Most parents worry about what their kids might be doing at camp, especially if they are not writing to them at all. You, as parents, can encourage them to keep writing to you by sending off with colorful personalized stationery! This can keep them writing to you regularly and have fun with it. It gives them a reason to show off their new stationery to their friends and other family members!
Most parents worry about what their kids might be doing at
camp, especially if they are not writing to them at all. You, as parents, can encourage them to keep
writing to you by sending off with colorful personalized stationery! This can keep them writing to you regularly
and have fun with it. It gives them a reason to show off their new stationery
to their friends and other family members!
Before you
send them off, be sure to pack their very own stationery along with matching
envelopes, pens or pencils, and postage stamps.
Also be sure to teach them how to send letters and how many stamps to
put on the envelope. You may want to
pack an address book with your address, along with their friends, teachers, and
other people they may want to write to while they are at camp.
Never force
your kids to write to you or else they will feel like it's required and may
lose interest in it. They should be
excited to write letters and fill you in on what they have done and learned. You could use these letters later on in life
when they have grown up and relive their childhood with them with the letters
they sent! They will love going down
memory lane and, not to mention, your family will have lots of laughs reliving
past memories.
Encouraging
children to write letters can help them learn how to maintain personal and
meaningful relationships along the way.
It can also help with their vocabulary, penmanship, and practice their
writing skills. Having them write to you can also get rid of feeling home sick
while they are away. And who knows?
They may meet more friends at camp and want to keep writing letters after they
get home!
