Gambia offers an amazing holiday experience that you will remember for years to come. Experience the rich African culture.

Gambia is becoming an increasingly popular destination as it offers a new experience to holidaymakers without breaking the bank. Gambia exchange rates, the Dalasi compared to the pound sterling has largely remained unchanged compared to two years ago making it a much better value destination than European countries.

The time taken to get to your Gambian destination is not too great either with you being able to touch down for a Gambia holiday in less than six hours.

Once you have landed there are many places to discover which I'd like to share with you including experiencing the rich and friendly culture.

Experience the energetic live music performances. Many local bands can be found playing their unique brand of music in the evenings as well as concerts being held by West African greats such as Babba and Maul.

Book a dance lesson. Dance to the beat of the Kora, which is Gambia's national instrument or you could try drumming using the local drum called the djembe.

Take a day boat trip. Gambia holidays wouldn't be complete without taking a trip down the River Gambia which runs right through the country. While on a day trip you see a huge range of amazing sights from leaping monkeys, hippos popping up from below as well as spot Pelicans. There is plenty to see on a boat trip however you could also relax and just enjoy the peace of being out in the wilderness.

Go shopping for local handicrafts. Even the guys will enjoy browsing the amazing African instruments, woodcarvings and batiks. There are plenty unique and ideal presents to bring home to family and friends to show what you have experience on a Gambia holiday.
