Advanced Building Supplies, Inc is a premium Brazilian hardwood decking provider in USA. They offer unique class and style wood decking specifically, Ipe, Cumaru Rosa, Jatoba, Tigerwood, Garapa, and Massaranduba wood decking with long lasting beautiful results.

If you are looking for a Brazilian Hardwood for your new deck that has an absolutely beautiful, exotic color and grain pattern, then look no further!

Tigerwood decking is used for a distinctive grain and brilliantly colored deck. Tigerwood is brown in color with some reddish and burnt orange colors in the wood with very distinctive dark brow/black stripes (very similar to the look of a real tiger-hence the name).  Tigerwood has a very exotic and rich look to it because of its prominent wood grain pattern.

Tigerwood (also known as Brazilian Koa) is over 2 ½ times harder than Oak and over 5 times harder than Western Red Cedar.  With a 40 year life expectancy and is one of the most beautiful of the Brazilian Hardwoods.  On the Janka Hardness Scale it scores 2,160!   If you would like a prominent grain pattern for your new hardwood deck, this is the wood for you!  Tigerwood is available in 1” X 6” (which is ¾” X 5 ½”) and also in 5/4” X 6” (which is 1” X 5 ½”).   Matching Handrail is also available.

Tigerwood is not yet as well known as Ipe (Brazilian Walnut) but it is becoming very popular as a decking material due to its strength and bold appearance.  Tigerwood will give your new deck a unique, rich appearance that is not only beautiful but will give you and your family a useful and enjoyable deck for many years to come. Appling a UV Finisher (such as Flood CWF) to the wood every 18 months or so will help keep your new Tigerwood Deck looking like the day you installed it.

You can customize your new wood decking with Tigerwood on the deck surface and handrail and use Ipé for the border, posts and balusters. You will not only have a deck you love, but a two tone appearance that is unique to all others.  Ipe matches the grain in the Tigerwood and gives your deck a rich look when they are combined.  The Tigerwood “frames” in the Ipe and makes the contrast in the wood stand out while at the same time they blend together because of the colors!  You can also do patterns on the deck itself using the Ipe. The design team at ABS Wood is always willing to come up with new and unique design ideas specifically for your deck.  Call ABS Wood for classy and stylish wood decking options such as Ipe decking, Cumaru decking, Jatoba decking, Tigerwood decking, Garapa decking, Massaranduba decking and Deck accessories at 404-549-4840 or email your new deck plans or material list to debi@abswood.com.
