There is no place like home, click, click, click….. if curing morning sickness was only that simple, life would be great. Unfortunately, the simple click of anything does not cure morning sickness

There is no place like home, click, click, click….. if curing morning sickness was only that simple, life would be great. Unfortunately, the simple click of anything does not cure morning sickness; however there are some excellent tips, tricks, and remedies for morning sickness.

Not being able to function and just simply pouring a Sippy cup of milk for your little one makes you hurl.  You’re desperate and ready to try just about anything. Let’s figure out how to get rid of morning sickness or at least keep it nay.  The normal suggestions, like staying away from foods that could trigger the gag reflex.  Be aware that what used to be your favorite thing could now be the trigger. The temperature of your food can also affect you in many ways.  Try to eat bland foods that are cold or at room temperature such as rice, crackers etc...

For some women, eating carbs actually is most appealing and seems to help when they feel nauseated and they help ward off vomiting. Try keeping crackers within reach of your bed to help with sickness.  Try having a few before you even get out of bed. Eating more frequent, small meals and snacks throughout the day can help keep food in your stomach.

One area that many don’t pay that much attention to is becoming dehydrated.  To help avoid dehydration issues, be sure to sip fluids throughout the day between meals. However, there is a happy medium.  Be careful not to drink too much at one time because your stomach could get too full, making you less hungry for food.  In order to stay hydrated, try to drink about a quart and a half of fluids altogether.  If you’re nauseated and still vomiting, another tip is to drink a sports drink that contains glucose, salt, and potassium to replace lost electrolytes.

Staying hydrated and full of food is only part of the solution.  Stress or distressing is the other component. Do your best to stay as relaxed as possible.  One simple suggestion, watch your favorite television show and/or movie and take a rest.
