Luxury Paper Hand Towels and Hand Towels

No business wants its customers to think it is cutting corners.  Particularly when that business has prided itself so well on creating the perfect impression in every other client area.  The decor is right; the ambience is spot on:  so why lose marks at the final hurdle with cheap hand towels?  The only way to go:  luxury paper hand towels, or cleanable fabric hand towels.  Anything else says “cheapskate” loudly and clearly.

Choosing inferior hand towels over luxury paper hand towels, or washable fabric ones, presents a double-headed problem for business owners.  Non-luxury paper hand towels look bad and feel bad:  they also seem to end up everywhere but the receptacle provided for disposal after use.  Luxury paper hand towels feel and look good – and so seem more likely to be disposed of in the proper fashion – whereas cheap paper hand towels end up in little balls all over a premises’ bathroom and corridor facilities.  And when a business has cheap paper hand towels all over their corridor floor it has an image problem that doesn’t start and stop with a customer washing their hands.

Obviously the environmentally sound solution to the problem of non-luxury paper hand towels is:  invest in some good old fashioned roller hand towels.  The kind you can remove and launder when they’re done.  In reality, a business’ choice of hand towels depends very much on the image it wishes to convey.  Nothing cements the atmosphere of a restaurant like its bathroom facilities – a business wishing to go for top marks in the class department may insist on luxury paper hand towels because they seem more opulent than reusable fabric hand towels.

Luxury paper hand towels lend an air of exclusivity to a place.  A customer offered luxury paper hand towels is being given something bought for their use alone:  once the towel is used, it will be disposed of and never used again.  To import luxury into such an item – something disposable – is an obvious way to assure one’s clients that no expense has been spared for their convenience.  Also, luxury paper hand towels are sanitary (for the same reason – they are used once and then chucked away.  No germs to pass on with disposable hand towels). 

Reusable fabric hand towels allow an establishment the cachets of quality (obviously, a fabric roller towel is much nicer to use than a cheap piece of paper) and consideration.  Customers will feel that a place that actually launders its bathroom towels is the kind of place that pays attention to detail and insists on excellent material throughout.  An invaluable impression to create where people come to eat – if they demand proper fabric hand towels, their ingredients are probably pretty good too.

Either option – luxury paper hand towels, or reusable fabric hand towels – give clients a clear indication that quality and excellence are of paramount importance.  The one rule, then, never to break – use one or the other, but don’t use cheap paper hand towels.  A business that does that is only going to give a poor impression.
