Cystitis is also known as urinary tract infection which can happen to anyone at any age. A person suffering from cystitis must know how to avert it. In this article, you will find some tips to permanently banish this vulnerable disease from your body.

If you are a victim of urinary infection, you should not delay its treatment as it can create severe complications in the future. Generally, the presence of bacterial infection at the urinary tract is the key factor responsible for difficulties while passing urine and incessant pain, which is commonly known as cystitis, urinary tract infection (UTI) or bladder infection. Check out the following to find answers of some common queries regarding cystitis.

How to detect cystitis?

Some of the common symptoms of cystitis are:

·         Secretion of cloudy and red coloured urine

·         Feeling of severe pain accompanied by burning sensation while passing out urine

·         Foul smell in the urine

·         Inability to hold the urge for urination

·         Passing out a small amount of urine in spite of feeling repeated urge for it

·         Fever accompanied with the above symptoms in serious cases

What causes this disease?

You can be affected by cystitis due to attack of bacteria e-coli in the urinary system. Normally these bacteria take shelter in the intestines but when they invade the bladder or the urethra (lower urinary tract) cystitis occurs. But lagging or lack of treatment can result upliftment of germs into the upper urinary tract or kidneys which can be dangerous.

Who are susceptible?

Although men, women and children of any age group can suffer from cystitis, yet it has been noticed that women are more prone to the disease than others because of their short urethra. Moreover pregnant women, active women and women after the menopause have a greater chance of being affected to it.

Which are the severe forms of cystitis?

Interstitial Cystitis, Esinophilic cystitis, Radiation cystitis and Hemorrhagic cystitis are some of the acute forms of cystitis. Interstitial Cystitis is a chronic type which is hard to detect and incurable.

How to treat and prevent?

One of the most common methods used by the doctors to treat cystitis is prescribing antibiotics to their patients. But in spite of routine intake of antibiotics, symptoms of the disease persist to continue among many patients.  This happens because of the fact that antibiotics are unable to remove the germs of cystitis that cling to the bladder wall permanently. Moreover, as a result of frequent consumption of antibiotics the bugs can become resistant to them and stop responding. On the contrary, it is better to grab some natural medication like D-mannose for both prevention and permanent cure of the disease. You can also practice some habits like drinking plenty of water and Cranbury juice, eating green vegetables and fruits and refraining from smoking, alcohol and acidic foods etc. to prevent cystitis.

D-mannose is one of the natural medications which can be very fruitful to treat cystitis.
