Samsung Announces Plasma 3D HDTV

SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS America, a market leader in consumer electronics, announced on Tuesday, its own 3D HDTVs and Blu-ray Home Theater Systems. According to the statement given by company, six of the eight models of this year’s Ultra-Slim Plasma HDTV line (8000 and 7000 Series) are 3D-enabled, giving consumers the ability to experience a new dimension over the traditional HDTV viewing experience.

The Samsung Plasma HDTV 8000 Series which is built-in 3D technology will provide a striking depth of dimension for in home television viewing and uses a full color spectrum to deliver a rich, more immersive viewing experience. The TVs also feature a slim brushed titanium-colored bezel and additionally, the TVs are equipped with Samsung’s CinemaSmooth technology for playback of 24fps Blu-ray content mirroring the quality of the latest movie theaters.

Samsung ultra-slim 7000 Series will be equipped with a wealth of immersive viewing and picture enhancing technologies in a slim, brushed black bezel designed.  The processing can also be applied to broadcast TV, gaming content and legacy DVDs to automatically convert 2D viewing into 3D in real time. Samsung 7000 Series also includes Samsung’s Clear Image Panel technology, Internet TV connectivity to delight entertainment enthusiasts.

All of Samsung’s 2010 Plasma TV is fall far below the maximum allowance for the new Energy Star 4.0 rating. The 2010 Plasma TVs are the highest performing and most eco-conscious HDTV products Samsung has ever released.

Samsung Plasma HDTV line (8000 and 7000 Series) will be available from May 2010. The price of Samsung Plasma HDTV 8000 and 7000 series in between $3800 to $1800.
