You can make a lot of money on the internet marketing affiliate products, but all of the big money earners online have one thing in common. They
create their own products. It is important to understand that you not only need to create your own products, but you also need to be able to sell them.
In my opinion, the best and most profitable products to create are informational products, and the easiest place to sell them is on the internet.
You need a good sales letter to sale your products on the internet. These are the 15 essential components of a good sales letter.
The 15 Essential Components of a Good Sales Letter1. The Headline- This should be the first thing a person sees when they visit your sales page. Your headline should grab your reader's attention and make them say "Whoa! I want to know more!".
2. The Sub Headline- The sub headline is important because it helps to support your headline. It also gives your visitor more reasons to continue reading.
3. Salutation- If you do not know what to put here, the default salutation is "Dear Friend." You really want your salutation to speak directly to your target audience.
4. The Opening Paragraph- An effective way to open your sales letter is to get straight to the point. You want your prospect to tune into that same old radio station that we have all been listening to for years in network marketing: "WIIFM- What's In It For Me?"
5. Credibility- What gives you the right to let them know about this product or service? You want to be sure to give them a reason to believe why your claims should be true or why they should believe you at all. You can also add to your credibility by stating famous people you have helped or special cases you may have worked on.
6. Testimonials- You need to have testimonials to support your self-proclaimed credibility. In essence, testimonials transfer credibility.
7. Bullets- You may have seen these on some sales letters as benefit driven, small sentences with check marks beside them. "Benefit driven" means that each of your little sentences should contain a benefit the customer will receive from your product or service. It is good to have at least 5-8 bullets that are benefit driven and tell the customer why they need to take action.
8. More Testimonials- More testimonials build up your believability and credibility even more. These testimonials also help to excite your customers about the benefits of your offer and lower purchase anxiety.
9. The Free Bonus- Free bonuses are very powerful and they increase your sales. People love free stuff. You want all of your free bonuses to have a high perceived value so that they will help convert your prospects into customers.
10. The Money Back Guarantee- You want the money-back guarantee to take away all of their worries. Tell them not to worry because they are not taking the risk, you are.
11. The Price- Before stating the price, we briefly want to tell our reader one more time exactly what they are going to get.
12. Payment Information- After you state the price you tell exactly what they need to do to a place an order.
13. A Warning- This warns them what will happen if they do not take action right now!
14. The Close- Tell them exactly what you want them to do. Be very detailed and do not beat around the bush. You want to have a strong close and give direct commands. People will listen since they are used to being told what to do anyway.
15. The Post Script- Tests have shown that the post script (p.s.) is the second most important thing behind the headline, because a lot of people will read the top of the page and then scroll all of the way down to the bottom.
You can leave out some of these parts and still make a few sales, but each part has been proven to increase sales dramatically. If copywriting seems intimidating to you, I hope that this article has given you a basic understanding of how to write a sales letter.
Much Success,
