The Semantic Transitivity Model in Objective Knowledge System

As cognitive and orderly knowledge organization system, objective knowledge system structures abundant concept semantic relation, and accurately describes meaning and internal relation of the concepts. Besides, it has strong formalization and knowledge reasoning, which can acquire latent semantic information of concepts by logical reasoning. And it meets the demand of semantic revealing and computer interactive to knowledge organization.

Therefore, objective knowledge system becomes research focus recently. The semantic Transitivity research has been concerned by lots of scholars, but it has its own limitations, mainly including the limitation of the validity of relation combination, the amount of semantic relation types, the shortage of universality and objectivity of semantic relation. Therefore, this paper based on objective knowledge system and classical semantic relation carries out the research on Transitivity law and quantitive analysis. Based on above analysis, this paper regards semantic Transitivity of objective knowledge system as research content. The semantic Transitivity includes semantic Transitivity rules and relevance whose construction depends on semantic elements, semantic structural features and generalization concept connotation associated with semantic relations.

Firstly, semantic elements and semantic structural features, especially their own characteristics and algebraic properties, are studied to solve definition, impact factors and judgmental process of semantic Transitivity. Whereafter, semantic Transitivity model and correlation calculation model based on nature of the relationship, semantic structure characteristics and factor theory are proposed to realize computer simulation and related quantification method of semantic Transitivity.This research not only enriches objective knowledge system, but also introduces related quantification model. On the one hand, the research improves the objective knowledge system as technical system of typical concept knowledge organization methods. On the other hand, it increases the accuracy of knowledge retrieval. So the content of this paper has important application value in the field of knowledge organization and information retrieval, and meanwhile it expands correlation research between concepts.
