People do not often stop to think about how much of their trash can be cleaned and reused effectively. Even things that are not clearly recyclable can be reused successfully. Shredded office files, for instance, are already halfway prepared for the recycling process.
One might be concerned about giving outsiders a chance to steal company information by re-assembling shredded papers. This is not actually a problem. Once the paper is recycled, there is nothing left of the old files except the wood fibers of which the paper was made. In fact, it is probable that not all of those came from the same company’s files, effectively quadrupling the protection of the information – nothing can be made from the jumbled mess of several companies’ shredded papers.
Finding the right paper recycling services, however, can be a chore. Many companies are more interested in using the current political climate as an excuse for shady business practices that do not treat those dealing with them well. Since recycling companies turn a profit when they sell their reprocessed paper, there is no reason they should charge their suppliers for taking a source of money off of their hands.
Fortunately, there are a number of recycling companies dedicated to ensuring that those wanting to get rid of their scrap paper will not do so at a loss. These companies have made a name for themselves not only as client and customer friendly, but also as successful businesses. Dealing with them is the best way to take care of securing old files from prying eyes.
