The myTouch 3G Fender smartphone will carry content from Eric Clapton, Avril Lavigne, Brad Paisley and Wyclef Jean. It would also have Android music applications like Guitar: Solo and Musical Light and access to doubleTwist music sync software.
MOBILE ENTHUSIASTS with music on their minds, wake up. T-Mobile will be launching a smartphone just for you! The T Mobile myTouch 3G Fender limited edition smartphone with a handset made by HTC.
The myTouch 3G Fender smartphone had been announced by the two companies about a month back, but it did not really catch the notice of many, due to the buzz surrounding Google Nexus One. Its USP is the exclusive Eric Clapton tunes it would carry, with the Fender guitarist an active partner in the product.
The smartphone will carry Eric Clapton classics like Layla, My Father’s Eyes, Rock ‘N’ Roll Heart and Wonderful Tonight. Apart from this, it would also feature content from Avril Lavigne, Brad Paisley and Wyclef Jean. It would also have Android music applications like Guitar: Solo and Musical Light and will allow users to toggle between different views or change a song or album by touching album art.
The smartphone is not all about the music. It has a custom designed back plate with a Fender like finish, 3.5mm headset jack, a 16GB memory card and free access to doubleTwist music sync software.
Andrew Sherrard, Vice President, Product Developement at T Mobile is all praises for the myTouch 3G Fender. He said, “The myTouch 3G, which runs on Android, gives us an open, highly customizable platform to create truly unique experiences that go beyond what’s possible on proprietary platforms. The new limited edition myTouch is a perfect example of this innovation and personalization and we are excited to bring our customers this special limited edition, feature-rich, music-inspired device.”
