Video Conference: Changing the Way People Communicate

Today we live in a global community where businesses, schools and individuals want to easily communicate with other people all over the world. Our first means of long distance communication was letter writing and telegrams, this form of communication took time and meant that there was no possibility of direct long distant personal connection. Then came telephones and internet, these forms of communication meant that communication was instant and could be reciprocated in record time. Since the invention of the internet there have been many great advancements in how, when and where we can communicate.

Now that the internet has become an integral part of our everyday lives, communication with other people has become easier and more convenient. There are many ways to communicate on-line including email, instant messenger, chat rooms and Video conference. With so many ways to communicate with people down the street or around the world it’s no wonder we are no longer separate communities or separate worlds; but one global community, one global on-line world!

Video conferencing and web conferencing are great ways to help businesses run more smoothly and effectively. Being able to communicate with a business associate or customer through web or video conferencing is a great way to have face to face communication and maintain a personal yet still professional relationship. This technology allows businesses to operate and have business dealing with people from all over the world while maintain direct personal contact with all their business associates, no matter the distance.

This technology is also a great way for school children to have interactions with other cultures. A teacher can arrange a video conference with a classroom of children from China, India, Japan, Russia, Australia or any other country in the world.  A classroom of children who live in Africa can learn about the USA from a classroom full of children who live across the world in New York, Alabama or Utah. There are endless possibilities for learning and growth for children without ever having to leave the classroom.

With so many new and exciting career opportunities it is hard to stay living in the same state as your family and friends. It is even harder to keep in-touch with all your loved ones, phone calls are nice but over time they feel impersonal and distant. Now there is live video and audio conferencing, which enables people to talk and carry on normal conversations. It provides a way for people to feel like they are in the same room and creates a way for the long distance relationship to feel less distant.

 Video conference is a great way to stay in communication with people from down the street or across the globe. This technology allows businesses, schools and individuals to stay in communication with the people or associates they find most important. It creates an environment where distance is no longer a problem, an environment where there is no distance, only good solid communication.
