I am a huge fan of high-heals but I also know that it is simply impossible to wear them all the time. First of all it is not good for the spine, legs and who knows what else. To put it another way high-heals are not healthy. It doesn’t mean women should avoid them – I would never say anything like that.
They say some things can’t be done in high-heels. I guess that’s true, not that I know anything about it – I am a guy. It is just that sometimes when I look at women in high-heels I almost feel their suffering. Pure empathy – that’s me! That is why I am glad that this season will belong to slightly lower shoes (that’s what I heard). As a man I should be a huge fan of high-heals – and so I am, but I also understand that it is simply impossible to wear them all the time. First of all it is not good for the spine, legs and who knows what else. To put it another way high-heals are not healthy. It doesn’t mean women should avoid them – I would never say anything like that. High-heals make women look great, especially if worn with a dress or something tight, like jeggings" or lna leggings. But is it possible to achieve amazing effects without them, without putting health at risk? I don’t have one answer for that. I just want to share some high-heel reflections. Maybe a fresh look of the guy who doesn’t know what he is talking about will bring a new perspective to the problem?
High-heel myth number one – Power:
Women wearing high-heals seem to feel more self-confident and powerful. To some extend it is true that high shoes give the sense of domination. But is it really so great to look down at men all the time? Have you ever thought about how we feel? Well, sometimes it is cool to walk into a restaurant or a club with a tall model-looking girl. But on the other hand we also need to feel masculine and simply bigger than our woman. It is in our genes. You don’t want to change our nature, do you? I have a solution that will help us protect both – your physical health and our mental condition. Choose 3 to 5 cm heels just like those from the latest Stella McCartney collection. You will feel way more comfortable and we will not feel too intimidated and insecure (poor us).
High-heel myth number two – Sexual appeal:
Well, there is some truth in every myth. High-heels are definitely sexy, but the fact is that it is possible only under some circumstances. They need to be perfectly fitting the rest of the outfit, otherwise the effect can be opposite to the desired and the girl will look funny. Another thing is walking in high-heels. Don’t get me wrong but in my opinion fifty percent of women simply don’t know how to do that. Remember, you can look sexy in sneakers or any other shoes. Don’t go for high-heals because that is what supermodels do. Sport style is also very attractive as well as casual. Try to have fun from time to time, mix styles, and show yourself, not only your legs.
So take care of your spine and joints. Wear lower shoes from time to time. Your health is the most important thing. Don’t be a fashion victim. And when it comes to us – men – we like high-heels but we like happy, relaxed women more.
