Taking photos of the nature around us. Wonderful ways to convey photographic drama is through natural lights
When we talk of photography, we often think of shots taken inside the studios with different lightings and backgrounds.  A typical photographer, we might say.  Photography involves arts and skills, beyond artificial lights.

One of the most popular subjects in photography is taking shots of nature.  Timing is very important.  Lighting should be aligned with the subject for there are no artificial lights in the wild.  Opportunity in taking perfect shots is dictated by the sun.

Digital Photography can only enhance photos but cannot give the perfect light that the sun can give.  Here are some techniques of capturing nature with those lenses and making it worthy of entering in photo contest.

Remember that Flowers glow when taken with early morning light, take time to stroll in the morning park and capture it.  Special lighting techniques cannot just be produce by photo editing tools.  It can be captured by waiting before the sun sets.  The sun sets a dramatic mood when it rises in the east.  The warm light and long shadows created can be breath taking.  The subject can be another issue; you can find an element that matches with dramatic light such as the colors of the sky, the sea or enter the city life and capture the beauty of neon lights.

Know when to use flash.  Most people thought that flash can give sufficient lights when taking shots.  Dramatic images can sometimes be produced using a featureless subject.  A wonderful way to convey photographic drama is through Silhouettes.  The main subject will appear black in front of a light and lets the camera focus on the bright background instead of the subject.

No matter how you press those shutter buttons, whether you take those pictures for a photo contest or by personal collection, the most important thing is, to take pictures that makes you smile and enjoy every moment.
