Create Your Own Gift Basket

Everyone deserves a little luxury and what better way to indulge them than with a sumptuous gift basket! Gift basket makes gift giving very easy and convenient. It is very easy to make and the easiest solution when you cannot decide which gift to give on a specific occasion. Gift basket also conveys a message from the sender to the recipient — romantic, humorous, inspirational, etc.

You can find beautifully presented gift baskets on the web. You can make special requests on these stores and deliver it to the recipient on or before the special day.

But why bother? You can also make your own gift basket! Create your own concept and design. Stir up your creativity, arrange and wrap your gift basket the way you want it to.

Decide on the theme for your gift basket. It should match the occasion or the recipient’s needs, such as vegetarian, diabetic or a friend with gluten intolerance. You can make a gourmet hamper for a wine and cheese lover, a tea set for your mom on Mother’s Day, or a fragrant spa gift basket for someone who loves to be pampered or needs to be pampered. You can also fill your gift basket with his favorite items, such as a collection of action figures of books from his favorite author. You will never run out of ideas and stuff to fill the gift basket you will be making.

Look for a basket with a unique shape. A basket without a handle will also look good. The size of your hamper will depend on the contents of your gift basket.

Fill the base of your basket with fillers such as crumpled paper or shredded tissue paper to lift the bottom part where you will place your gift items. You can also put a doily or a cloth napkin at the bottom of your basket. Arrange the items. Place the tall items at the center of the basket, medium-sized items on the outer part, and the smaller items in between.

Wrap your gift basket using at least 2 yards of cellophane or tulle. Lay the wrapper on a table with the right side down. Place the basket in the middle and gather up the wrapper. Secure with a tie

Add a ribbon on your gift basket. Make a lovely bow with long twisted tails or attach a store-bought bow. Using a string, attach the gift tag or tape it on the front part of the gift basket. The final product will always look stunning.
