Capturing Pictures in Motion

Photography is a skill combined with creativity.  One cannot produce good shots if one does not know how to appreciate beauty.  We have seen thousands of photos in our photo albums, we have taken thousands of shots from digital cameras, have you ever wondered why do we hire photographers during special events?

Photography captures the moment of our lives and can be immortalize by the clarity of the photo. Photos are treasured memories that we wanted to reminisce every now and then.  Often times, photos are not clear enough.  You cannot identify the faces but sometimes the beauty of these blurred photos can bring joy and laughter.  Blurred photos are often caused by human error, to others.  It is a technique that captures the dramatic movement of things.  Blurred photos capture what happened before and after.  These photos convey motion, and these scenes come alive by capturing it very movement.

Budding photographers would like to captivate photos with motion. They would like to produce again the same quality.  Movements can dictate moods such as trees swaying its branches or flapping of the wings of the bird.  Most commonly used technique in capturing the moving headlight of the car in the busy streets is blurring.

There are two primary techniques in capturing movements.  The shutter speed plays a very important role in capturing movement.  Always remember that the faster the speed of the shutter, the sharper the focus on the subject.  You can create a blurred background with a clearer subject or the other way around.  It takes a lot of trial and error until you perfect this type of shots.

Digital Photography can be fun and exciting when you experiment on its different features to achieve a motion shot.  Blurring that annoys us can transform photos in dramatic movement.  Next time you press those shutter, capture the movements and you might end up getting shots worthy of photo contest.
