Firstly read through the job
advertisement and understand about the job and the company you are going to
apply for. Highlight main skills, essential requirements of the job and find
out about the organisation/company you want to work for. If the company has an
official website visit the website and get an idea about the the vision and values of the company.
There is no right or wrong way of creating a good CV. Once you understand the
job advertisement well and have an idea about the organisation, then next step
is rather easy. Limit to your CV for maximum 2 pages. When you write about your
past working experience do not forget to put the start date and end date of the
job, Job title, who you were reporting to and your main responsibilities. You
should highlight the skills and experiences that relate to the position you are
applying for. If you have any achievements/awards/recognitions during your
employment highlight them.
If you are a school lever or a recent
graduate give main emphasis on posts/roles you had in school/university
clubs/societies. Nowadays employers are seeking for young people with good team
working experience, good communication skills and interpersonal skills. So take
the maximum opportunity to demonstrate those skills in your CV.
