With summer approaching, the only thing one can plan about is vacation. The moist wind cause rainfall in the forest areas, hence leading to the fall of temperature during summer season. Also, the level of rainfall varies according to the rise in altitude.

Places in close proximity to mountains faces cool weather during winter and it lasts for long time. Besides, this part of region receives heavy rainfall during monsoon. Whereas, places like Gulmarg, situated in the higher mountain region, just around the valley, receives the beautiful snow fall from November to March. Henceforth, the place is remarkably known as the best skiing resort in Asia.


Warm yet soothing weather start to dominate Kashmir, early from May and last till the end of July. The season receives rejuvenating showers, which soak the heat of the valley.

Summer: Mid May to July

Monsoon: July to September

Winter: November to March
