Anyone who is not professionally trained that has had a go at laying concrete screed will acknowledge just how difficult it is to get it done to an acceptable standard, let alone to obtain that professional quality finish.
Anyone who is not professionally trained that has had a go at laying concrete screed will acknowledge just how difficult it is to get it done to an acceptable standard, let alone to obtain that professional quality finish. Pouring out the concrete may at first appear to be the biggest part of the project but it is in fact not even the beginning of a laborious, technical exercise for the inexperienced.
One must first ensure the materials and mix are right as different mixes will be required for different purposes and finishes. Once that has been established, the concrete must be poured, then levelled, floated and left to cure to ensure it is as strong as possible. The finishing process also includes deciding on the final finish such as that perfectly smooth finish, polished or otherwise.
This, in it’s entirety, does not sound overly difficult or time consuming, but be warned, concrete screed is only workable for so long and within a relatively short time, it will start to dry and whilst it may take many days to dry completely, it can quickly become difficult to work with so time is also a major contributory factor.
At MS Screeders, our expert teams of floor screeders can take all the pressures away. Using only the best quality materials and equipment, our people can lay your floor screed both quickly and efficiently and provide that perfect finish every time. For the professional contractor working to tight deadlines with potentially crippling financial penalties when agreed timelines are not met, our professional teams can help keep those pressures in check.
Having the resources to complete such a task where large areas of floor screeding is necessary can equally mean that your need to move resources away from other time critical activities. With so many potential failure points threatening progress, it really makes sense to outsource technical aspects such as floor screeding to professional specialists.
