An article about office chairs and back pain.
Office workers spend the majority of their day sat at their desk so having a chair that is comfortable and that offers the right amount of support is critical.

If an employee doesn’t have the right type of desk chair then they can suffer severe back pain, which something is something that managers should try to prevent by buying the right chairs for their office.

So for managers who are thinking about replacing their office chairs or who might want to buy new chairs during office relocation, then here are a few tips to help you choose the right one.

1) Firstly ensure you buy chairs that are well cushioned. The right cushion can mean the different between comfort and a trip to the chiropractors. Remember that low quality chairs often lose their shape after a few uses, so just because it is comfortable in the store doesn’t mean it will be comfortable in the office.

2) Ensure that you get a chair that is adjustable. A good chair will have 6-7 adjustments, it will be able to move up and down, it will be able to tilt, slide in and out and the back rest will be able to move up and down.

3) Make sure to match the chair to the individual. A good chair can mean different things to different people, so it might be a good idea for your staff to test out and then choose their own chair.

4) However, you also need to remember that it is not all about the chair. How your employees sit in a chair also can have an effect on their back. By slouching your staff could be causing their own discomfort.

So if you are planning an office move, perhaps to a new office in London, then these tips should help you get the right chairs for your employees.
