Everyone desires to be content especially whenever it comes to our work. Operate is where we spend almost of our day. It be capable of be middling wretched if we are offended in our job. But it doesn't have to be that way here is simple things you can do today to become happier at work.

If you want to be happy you must first identify what it is that is causing this unhappiness at work. Here is a great exercise that will help you see and understand what is going on at your job that is making life unhappy for you there.

It is better to none doing this at process. Try this early ahead you go to work or while you get home. Take a sheet of paper (or two), find a quiet place and write down everything that is wrong at your job. Just let it flow. Pour all your thoughts, feelings and emotions on to the paper. Don't even think just write. Whatever comes to mind write it down. You're the only one that has to read it.

This can actually be a very therapeutic exercise, just letting everything go and putting it all down on paper. It can be a great release. Some people feel better just by doing this.

Now that you have these notes read over them and start to make sense of the most important issues that are troublesome for you at work. You want to turn these notes into a list. Ask yourself what are the most important problems? Now start to develop a list of these most important problems. Put them in order of what you feel needs to be changed and addressed first. Think about how much it would make you feel better at work if a certain situation changed.

Now begin to think about how those problems are making you feel. Yes we know you are unhappy. But if the situation is to be changed for the better you need to really drill down and become specific about how these problems are affecting you and making you feel. Here are some examples.

There are many things in a work environment that can make a person unhappy: too much stress, work load that is too difficult or over burdening, lack of challenge or boring, the pay is too low or uncompetitive with the marketplace, conflict with a co worker, harassment, lack of ability to move up or be promoted, working in an environment that is negative, being treated like your work is not valued or you are appreciated. This list of reasons why a person can be unhappy at work can be much longer than this. The point is to really understand what it is in your workplace that is causing your unhappiness.

At this point you should have a list of the major issues that are causing unhappiness for you at work. Now with each of the most important issues think about possible solutions for each. Don't just stop at one solution. Normally there is more than one solution to a problem. Make two copies of your problems and possible solutions.

Everyone in a work environment has a boss. That's the person that is part of the next step. This can also be the most difficult part because sometimes, quite often that person is part of the problem at work.

No matter how difficult, you have to have a meeting with your boss. You desire to discuss the hitch you are having at work and come with proposal on possible solutions.

The best way to do this is to ask your boss if the two of you can have a meeting. Whenever it is a molestation topic or you are afraid of your boss, it is best to ask that the meeting take place in a public place.

Go into the meeting prepared. Quite much it is beneficial to begin by explaining that you appreciate the opportunity to be working where you are although feel that there are situations that are taking place that are affecting your execution. Let your boss know that you could be performing at even a higher level if these issues could be addressed. Notice you are not saying anything about being unhappy-but you are putting it in terms that if the situations were changed it could benefit your boss and the company.

Now present your issues and possible solutions. Try to be as professional as you can be and keep your emotions in check. Hand your boss a copy of your issues and possible solutions. The boss will appreciate the fact that you have thought things through and made a list that included solutions to the problems. Ask your boss what can be done based on the situations you have presented. Together you can talk about and work through how to make these changes happen that will improve your work situation.

In most cases this will be the decent track to take to start improving things and help make you happier at work.
