Los Angeles is the second largest city in the US and and the largest city in the state of California. Supporting a population of around 3.83 million, the city is one of the most densely populated areas in the whole of the US. In fact, Los Angeles is the 14th largest urban area in the world. 

First founded in September 1781, Los Angeles became part of Mexico in 1821, following the independence from Spain. The city was incorporated as a municipality on 4th April in 1850, just 5 months before California achieved its statehood. 

Today it's known as the City of Angels and is an inconic world business centre for  business, international trade, entertainment, media and culture, amongst other things. A thriving economy and moderate climate makes it a hotbed for tourists but just what is it about Los Angeles that makes it so attractive? Here are my top 5 reasons for visiting Los Angeles.
