Back in style – retro womens shirts for a real fashion statement

Fashion statements are a bit of a minefield. It’s all very well trying to look fabulous with the latest cuts, the season’s colours and trends – but, after a while, even the slowest lady starts to realise that everyone else looks just like her. It’s a bit of a backlash, one suspects, against the frankly incontinent appeal of modern culture. Everyone knows that nothing is built to last any more – which is why big budget films are increasingly remakes of old classics, and why ancient bands keep revamping themselves and selling another million records. Back in the day, these new womens shirts are reminding consumers, things were just – cooler. Visionary fashion companies like My Icon Art have started to recognise this – and it’s a recognition that is already making itself felt at street level. Go into any busy bar on a Friday night and one is just as likely to see tees displaying quotes from 70s war movies as those inexplicable shiny iron on transfers that yell the logos of here today, gone tomorrow fashion houses. The revolution is upon us: and the new womens shirts are leading the way.
