Carpet Sweeper - The Quickest Clean Up Solution

For thousands of years, people have been putting things on the floor to cover it, but those things tend to get dirty. Then we add a couple of wheels and a long handle for pushing it all along the floor. As the sweeper is pushed along, the brush pushes dirt up into the box for collection. Keeping the carpet cleaner became a whole lot easier.

This little contraption is great for cleaning up all sorts of dry messes. You can use it on bare floors as well as carpet. Taking the big, electric vacuum out of the closet isn't necessary anymore. Grab the sweeper instead to pick up dropped rice in the kitchen or for cleaning up after movie night in the family room. It's faster and requires less work.

Since the first sweepers came on the market, there have been many updates to the original idea. No good dead goes unpunished by someone not trying to improve on it. You can still get one that is pretty close to the original but there are many other types on the market to choose from.

These days you can find sweepers with multiple roller bars for scooping up more dirt with each pass. You will also find many that are aided by electricity for faster roller movement and suction power. You don't have to worry about an electric cord following along behind you though, because they either use a rechargeable battery pack or store in a recharger. All you have to do is pick it up, turn it on, and your ready to tackle Junior's latest attempt at decorating the floor with oat O's.

Having a carpet sweeper in your home can make your household cleaning chores a little bit less tiresome -- especially since you don't have to push around 30 pounds of full-size vacuum every time someone drops the cereal. These little devices are lightweight, easy to use and will fit most anywhere and be out of the way.
