Catch hold of huge money without waiting a bit

Now that the dust has settled on the Lebron James debacle live on TV when he personally destroyed North East Ohio we can potentially see why he has done what he did. Michael Jordan would never have done it and nor would Kobe Bryant but LeBron is made of different stuff and feels the need to be part of something and not just be someone.

There is a famous high school documentary on the prodigy that was LeBron James which highlights that LeBron always wanted to be part of something and that playing basketball with his friends gave him that happiness. Given that there were rumours the trio would hook up after the 2008 Olympics it appears that James is trying to recapture his high school years. Only this time he’s fighting for NBA Finals with a huge pay-check coming his way.

His willingness to abandon his home town which he must have supported as a boy and must understand all that goes with being a Cleveland fan. Cleveland fans themselves say it is a futile franchise and LeBron James had given them hope. For him to go on live television and rip that away in a self-centred display of ego is absolutely crushing and a worrying sign of the future.

Loyalty may not be the be all and end all and many say it cannot be a virtue as it can make you make a decision which you know to be wrong purely based on your loyalty for one thing over another. In the case of a city which needs hope, which needs LeBron James and was willing to pay him accordingly you question why he has to be so selfish and why he will not accept the fight and become a legend if not a martyr for his city.
