A baby’s 1st birthday party is sure to be a special event and one that every parent will want to celebrate. It is common for many parents to hold a 1st birthday party in their home to commemorate the day.

The fact is, parent’s will be more excited for their baby’s 1st birthday party than the birthday boy or birthday girl; as this will be the day where they can witness their child be adored by family and friends, whilst revelling in the atmosphere of young and happy children. As this is a special birthday, the parents should ensure they make the most of the day by purchasing a range of fun 1st birthday supplies, such as colourful invitations, birthday balloons, 1st birthday decorations, and tableware.

Themes are also great for a baby’s 1st birthday, and it is traditional to choose the gender colours such as blue for the 1st birthday boy and pink for the 1st birthday girl.

Most likely there will be some slightly older children at the party, so it is important to cater to their needs and keep them entertained; so it may be beneficial to consider hiring a children’s entertainer such as a clown or a balloon artist who can provide the children with fun and laughter. However, you should first consult the children’s parents as many children have a fear of clowns. If this is the case then party games are usually deemed a success and activities such as ‘pin the tail on the donkey’ or ‘pass the parcel’ provide the winning child with a small gift and are sure to keep them occupied for hours.

And as an additional treat for the children you can give them a 1st birthday party bag to take home with them.
