Exchange Server’s appointment scheduler is very much useful. But some issues block the smooth functioning of appointments resulting in corruption in EDB file. Use EDB Repair tool to recover corrupt email item file including appointments of Exchange database.
MS Exchange Server deployment comes
with various emailing options and scheduling appointments is one of
them. User can get benefit with calendaring option in MS Exchange
Server. With calendaring, user is open to perform various scheduling
tasks, like marking appointments, creating scheduler for various
appointments, and other saving of appointments.
But sometimes appointments feature
doesn’t work properly in Exchange Server user client and poses
problems for you. Reason might be the antivirus scanning. Usually
continuous antivirus scanning creates obstruction in smooth
functioning of Appointments in Exchange Server. Exchange Server
exhibits nasty irregular behavior when file-level antivirus software
is installed and is configured to scan the Exchange Server directory
(EXCHSRVR) structure.
Moreover, antivirus scanning of
Exchange Server directory structure lead to corruption of the most
important files in your Information Store of MS Exchange Server, such
as .EDB, .STM, .CHK, and .LOG files. In such times you need EDB
Repair tool to repair corrupt EDB and STM files. Corrupt EDB Repair
tool is an apt solution for dealing with major corruption issues and
recovering all elements of EDB database files.
Appointments or calendaring agent posed
problem for a user who tried to save few appointments in MS Exchange
Server. To his surprise, he noticed the failure of Calendar option
and further corruption in EDB database file. Some or all of the
calendar information were lost. Additionally, he received the
following similar entries logging in application event log of
Exchange Server:
“Event ID:
8206
Source: EXCDO
Description: Calendaring
agent failed with error code 0×80040229 while saving appointment”
And something like,
“Event ID:
1160
Source: MsExchangeIS
Description:
Database resource failure error First Storage Group\Mailbox Store
(MAIL) occurred in function JTAB_BASE::EcPrepareUpdate while
accessing the database “0xfffffc0d”.”
All the error Event IDs simply suggests
the failure of Exchange Calendaring agent.
Simple solution to this problem is to
re-configure your antivirus software and not to include EXCHSRVR
directory and drive ‘M’ in this scan.
What happens is that file-level
antivirus software locks and scans the file that is currently being
tried to access by Exchange Server. Thus, the Information Store (IS)
fails to lock this file and eventually the file becomes corrupt and
unusable.
well to resolve this issue, first of
