As you have gotten older, you probably have found that you contract colds and flu more often than when you were younger. You might also have noticed that it is now harder to recover from these bugs. It is important that you boost your immune system. Health and fitness over 50 is one of the best natural ways to improve your immune health. It may also positively affect some medical conditions and can help to maintain a healthier heart and body.

Where to begin from?


It might be difficult to get started if physical activity is not a part of your current lifestyle. A great way to begin- Going for a simple walk; it is inexpensive and requires virtually no equipment except a pair of runners. The important factor to consider is; what do you enjoy doing? It is best to think back to your childhood. Did you look forward to weekend morning swimming lessons or could you not wait for winter to get out on the ice for a game of hockey. Be committed to your heath and sign up for a fitness class. Job and a family with all the commitments come along at this age for an average person. Plan Well. How much time do you spend watching TV or on the computer? If your
health and fitness is a priority then you will find some way to fit physical activity into your day. The actual time you need to spend is dependent on your choice of activities. Nearly 60 minutes for light activities, 30 to 45 minutes for moderate activities and 20 to 30 minutes for vigorous activities. You might feel tired at the end of a long day but getting active will actually increase your energy level, leaving you feeling great.
