Everything You Need to Know About Rhinoplasty

While complications are rare, you should be aware of potential issues that may arise following your rhinoplasty surgery.  The first is a condition called septal perforation, which is a formation of a hole in the septum inadvertently made during the surgery.  You will know if you have this condition because you will experience excessive nose bleeding, crusting and breathing issues.  The best way to correct septal perforation is to have another surgery.  The other situation is the development of an adhesion, which is scarring in the septum.  This requires an additional procedure to clear it away.

The cost for rhinoplasty surgery in the US can run as high as $10,000.  Surgeon fees average at about $4,200 and then you add on the costs of staying in the hospital, visiting the operating room, and paying for the anesthesia.  If you have an implant, this is an additional cost as well.  Other minor facility fees really add up to make your new nose quite an investment.  Rhinoplasty is one of the most popular voluntary surgeries performed today because it can improve your standard of living and reshape the most prominent feature on your face.
