We all know that men are less conscious of their health in comparison to women. Studies also show that because of this, men die at an earlier age than women. Read this article for information on some of the common health conditions men are most likely to have.
A lot of men today die due to a lack of self-discipline and correct knowledge concerning certain health conditions. Instead of going to the doctor for check up at the first sign of an illness, most men would rather wait until the problem has gotten worse. Check out the top four health conditions that men like you and me can face anytime in our lives.

Heart disease is perhaps the most popular deadly disease of all time. Almost 30 percent of men at the age of 35 and up are suffering from it. Some experts say that people who have a family history of heart disease have a higher risk for it than those who do not. Even if that is true, it shouldn’t leave us hopeless because heart problems can be controlled and prevented by eating healthy and getting enough sleep and physical activity.

After heart disease comes lung cancer. This cancer has proven to be the most lethal of all taking the lives of most of its victims. Not all lung cancer patients are smokers although most of them are. In fact, people who do not smoke at all have higher risk for it due to inhalation of second-hand smoke. You can actually add fifteen more years into your life just by not smoking tobacco.

Although type II diabetes is not as frightening as cancer or heart disease, it still considered a very serious medical condition because it can greatly affect the life of its victim just as other diseases do. In fact, most people who have type II diabetes do not know that they have it.

Just like type II diabetes, prostate cancer is not accompanied by many symptoms. You’ll just know you have the disease once it has spread throughout your body. Prostate cancer is the leading type of cancer next to lung cancer and more research is yet to be done in order to know more about this disease. Your only way to prevent prostate cancer is to anticipate it at its early stage.

Although it is official that men die at a higher rate than women for similar health problems, men still tend to be ignorant and indifferent. If it’s matter of pride or carelessness we do not know. But what we know is that these conditions can prove fatal when left untreated but can actually be managed through healthy living.
