Concrete cutting has very vast applications in commercial operations in the construction and mining industries. The range of services involved in the process may include drilling & wire sawing as well.

Drilling & wire sawing needs to be performed in more complex scenarios where concrete cutting equipment cannot be used due to certain restrictions implied by the project like in Stitch drilling for example. Inverted drilling with hydraulic drilling equipment is also possible when the usual means of drilling from above is not accessible.

Drilling is necessary for plumbing, electrical and mechanical services as well as many other applications. The core drilling process is a more accurate way of getting all your plumbing, electrical & mechanical services in their correct positions the first time, greatly reducing the risk of human error when trying to pin point locations through suspended concrete floors & pre cast concrete walls, before they are positioned into place. Drill sizes come in different sizes to fit the varying needs (around 12mm to 1 m in diameter).

Hand Sawing

Hand sawing is a more efficient option for smaller project. Such projects include, cutting window and door penetrations through brick or concrete no more than 150mm thick. They are a very cost effective solution in emergency situations where a crane is on site unable to continue due to small section of concrete obstructing location of concrete panel or steel work, thus keeping the construction project running smoothly & on budget. This makes this hand sawing process perfect for any construction project suffering down time of any type that can be resolved quickly & efficiently by the use of a concrete cutting hand saw.

Ring Sawing

Ring saws are similar to hand saws as both of them provide fast & efficient concrete cutting solutions. Though hand sawing usually takes care of projects that have access restrictions, a ring saw goes a little further, with the extra cutting depth available. Ring saws deliver fast & accurate results they have the capability to cut through double brick walls while remaining efficient. The ring saw is an extension of the hand saw, for when further cutting depth produces the result on site, required.

Floor/Road Sawing

Floor sawing or road sawing is the most cost efficient way of removing large areas of concrete floors. Usually in the installation of new plumbing or electrical services, lift shaft or stair well penetrations though suspended concrete floors, complete removal of suspended concrete floors. When the construction site access & working area are adequate the floor saws are the answer to various types of floor cutting.

Wall Sawing

Wall sawing is capable of a total cutting depth of 1 meter, with an extremely fast cutting rate. Ideal applications would involve cutting through thick, highly reinforced concrete, this could involve such things as highly reinforced safe walls, large door penetrations, cutting through concrete columns & beams. Wall sawing also has the added advantage of being able to flush cut up to the depth of 1 meter. This very specialized concrete cutting equipment has the added advantage of numerous safety features along with complete remote control cutting, ensuring all cuts are accurate & straight.

Wire Sawing

Wire sawing is very unlike the usual concrete cutting methods. This very specialized item makes use of diamond wire to cut large sections of concrete. A diamond wire is basically wrapped around the concrete to be removed with the use of a pulley’s set in strategically placed positions; the wire rotates through the pulley’s gradually tightening in the process. Some of the advantages of cutting with a wire saw are, the very limited noise & vibrations involved, the access is exceptional, if all other cutting & drilling applications are not possible, generally, the wire sawing is the answer. This can provide for a quick fix when concrete cutting needs to be done with restrictions as to how it can be done for your project.
