I have to admit I never gave it a lot of thought, and even once reading Thi?nna Ho's book, I found myself quite surprised that my home country ranks among those with the absolute lightest folks on the planet. Skin color was not and still is not something that defines an individual in my eyes, but sadly I had to learn that in certain elements of the planet it actually matters enormously. Whether we tend to like to admit it or not, life in the USA is simpler if you happen to be lighter skinned. I'm not visiting moralize nor preach regarding this issue; suffice to mention that I do understand why an individual would wish to lighten her or his skin if they could do it safely.
Thi?nna Ho's "Unlocking the Mystery of Skin Color" carries a long subtitle, particularly "The Strictly Natural Manner to Dramatically Lighten Your Skin Color Through Diet and Lifestyle." While the duvet photos failed to convince me that the colour change in Thi?nna Ho's own case was quite this dramatic, I see completely nothing wrong with the diet and lifestyle changes that she recommends. All folks would benefit from eating smarter, moving a lot of, eliminating toxins and stress from our life, taking nice long baths and indulging in massages - which are some of her tips.
It's obvious that Thi?nna Ho performed an impressive amount of research whereas developing her technique and writing her book. Simply a look through the over forty pages of endnotes shows the good range and variety of sources utilized in writing "Unlocking the Mystery of Skin Color." The book is actually quite fascinating reading for the general public likewise, addressing numerous topics such as the great variety of the human skin colors, melanin, influence of sulfur on the skin color, the role of the environment furthermore several chapters on nutrition and lifestyle. The surprisingly simple to scan and perceive style contributes to the feeling that this book should not be intimidating to anybody - it is written in such a means that a general reader will get enough useful data; and also the more advanced or a skilled one will realize another nearly 100 pages of data, tables and sources within the appendices.
