Why Rockets Began with Continuous Failures?

NBA has officially started,and Rockets has officially embarked on their journey of the 2010-2011 season with the concern of their funs and the media.However,Rockets started their new season with two losses.Yao has returned to Rockets,and Martin,Lee and Miller also joined in,then why Rockets still lost their games continuously?

  For the Rockets,Warriors was not so hard to win in the last two seasons.However,on Octber 28,Rockets lost to Warriors.While Yao Ming caught in the ban and Miller seems to been locked up by Adelman and just played a few minuntes,Rockets still dragged the final answer  into the fourth quarter with Martin's cunning.Like their last game with Lakers,Rocket lost their game in the final quarter.What made Rockets began their new season with continuous failures?In fact, there are two main reasons.

1.Withdraw

Why withdraw is the first reason?As all we know,withdraw is an common topic.Rockets has always been a defensive team.They started with withdraw.Although being one of the best defensive teams in league in Van Gundy's era  did not help the Rockets into the second round,Rockets' withdraw was still their most effective weapons to fight in the league.With the idea of Adelman constantly updated and many people out and in,Rokets had an new tactical concept completely different from the past.Rockets seemd to enhance their "run and gun" and fade their withdraw since Yao Ming's absence because of injuries in last season.However,it is more difficult for Rockets to ensure their victory without an efficient defense.Although Rockets once had a lead of 15 scores,they lost to Lakers at last in their first game against Lakers.They failed to defend Shannon Brown at the last moment.Rocket retreated slowly and there were almost no defense at outside lines in their secend game against Warriors.Ther is no doubt that it was their loose defense that was the first cause of Rockets' failure in their game against Warriors.

2.Offensive

Rockets' weak offensive at the crucial moment is indeed a very serious problem.Chuck Hayes got 12 shots in the secend game.Maybe Adelman would be pleased at his performance.However,as Rockets' most uncredible credible offensive points,this phenomenon was so unusual.Who should take the ball to offensive at crucial moments for Rockets?Let Chuck Hayes continue to refresh his record?Weak offensive is always Rockets' problem.In the third quarter against Warriors,when Warriors started their offensive,Rockets could only use Martin's foul strategy to struggle.Howevr,it could not bring Rockets more tangible benefits,they could only depend on Luis Scola.When their opponents start their offensive,who could stand out to stop them?Yao Ming?Luis Scola?Aaron Brooks?Shane Battier?Kevin Martin?They all could not.When their opponents start scoring,the most important thing is do not be arbitrary.The ball should be hold by the most proper person at the crucial moments.

Losing two games continuously is not a good beginning,however, 82 games do not happen overnight,what Rockets should is using a few games at the beginning of this season to sum up their advantages and disadvantages as soon as possible and then ajust their team and begin their season formally.
