If you serve coffee to a group of people everyday, it is economical to invest in dual coffee makers, to substitute the regular coffee maker you’ve been using. This could be in the office or in a restaurant if you run one. If you hold parties and family gatherings every now and then, you should also buy one. It is important to know the type of maker that will suit you before buying any.

The first determinant of what coffee maker to buy is the number of people you will be serving. If it’s between 5 and 10 people like in a small office, dual coffee makers will do. If however you will be serving hundreds of people, you might require a coffee maker with 3 or 4 burners. Such a coffee maker will undoubtedly cost you more but will be more effective.

The key should always be to buy something that will serve more and faster, especially if you will be serving a lot of people. For hundreds of people, you will find that an urn is more suitable because it can serve up to 100 people. A double burner can perhaps serve half that number. You would need to compare an urn and a coffee maker with 3 or 4 burners in this case.

There are a number of big manufacturers that make dual burners. Good brands to check out include BUNN, Hamilton Beach and Mr. Coffee. BUNN are the leading coffee makers and all their models are remarkably good.

When choosing the model, there are basic features you should look for. For example, good dual coffee makers should have spill guards and auto shut off.  It should also be easy to use. You do not want a machine that is too complicated to use such that it is almost impossible to make a perfect cup of coffee with it.

On average, a basic coffee maker will cost you anything between $50 and $300. The more expensive it is, the more you will gain from using it.
