A lot of people are stressed out and they won't even realize that they could already be suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome. Here, you will experience a lot of fatigue and this may affect your work and your relationship with your family. If you want to know more about this condition then continue reading the article.
CFS which stands for chronic fatigue syndrome is an illness without an evident cause. Yes, it has always been a topic of discussion and debate, as not a specific cause about its onset has been identified yet. Most people who suffer from it may not even be aware about the fact; this makes spreading awareness about it an essential step.

During this illness, the person involved may experience high levels of fatigue and that too for as long as six months. Along with fatigue, quite a few cognitive problems may also start taking place.

The basic sign which can be used for the identification of it is fatigue that simply does not go away. If you have come across a person who has been tired for more than six months, even up to three years now, it is obvious that there has to be something wrong. The tiredness is without a cause, as unlike a normal situation in which the person seems to feel fresh after relaxing for a while; such a person may not feel active even after having enough rest. Mostly women acquire this disease in their twenties.

As no specific cause has been identified yet, CFS is related to infections that a person must have had before. According to this explanation, the tiredness is due to an infection which had taken place first, and has left its effect on the body. On the contrary, some people account fatigue to be due to other illnesses such as that of the liver or kidneys, or even AIDS.

Fatigue is the major and most noticeable symptom of CFS, which may continue even after an illness has long been cured. Many people may start showing concern due to this, as usually after effects of an illness do not last so long.

Moreover, cognitive problems which include the short term memory being affected may take place. The long term memory remains intact on the other hand. A few reasons of frustration taking place in such people include not being able to remember words or phrases that are used on a daily basis.

Due to impairments in such routine activities and daily tasks, people may also start being depressed and feeling helpless.
