Worrying will do you no good as it doesn't make you think about how to solve the problem at hand. You are just stuck with those ideas that you are worried about so unless you become concerned, you will be tortured by your thoughts. If you want more information about this, continue reading the article.
A person, who worries, tends to travel in loops and stay there for a long period of time. Worrying is an activity which makes one thinks about a certain problem or issue to a great extent. Instead of thinking of ways which would help them out of this state, they tend to stick to the process. If you consider yourself to be someone who worries about every little thing for long periods, rest assure that you are not alone.
There are different patterns of worrying which people adopt, as some tend to remain fixed in the situation for days, while the rest take a few breaks in between before they jump back into the phase.
Concern is much different, as it involves one being bothered about a particular issue or situation, but while being in that state, one makes sure that he/she takes practical steps to solve the issue. It can be a concern about something that still has to happen in the future, but the individual may start taking steps towards it right from the present.
For example, a woman may be concerned about her child's education, for which she may start working on him by spending time revising all that he has learnt in class. In order to polish his skills and learning abilities, she would get into action and start working towards the goal. In contrast, if the woman would be a worrier, she would only spend days or months being upset instead of taking the necessary steps.
One may identify the two different types of people, just by looking at them. A person who worries would be fidgeting with his/her hands or an object, sweating, shifting positions and wringing hands. The one who is concerned would be focused towards an objective, and would be carrying out the required action.
This makes it quite obvious that people who worry do not have a specific destination in mind where they would like to reach, which makes them uncomfortable and aimless. However, people who are concerned need to reach a target, for which they are taking the required steps.
Another thing that one can realize after observing the two types of people is that the ones who are concerned are more open minded and ready to accept change. They modify their ways of dealing with situations whenever required, unlike the worriers who tend to stick to their ineffective methods.
