Guerlain is one of the oldest perfumery houses in the world. Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain was the founder of this house and they opened their perfume house as far back as 1828. Before entering the world of fragrance Guerlain worked as chemist in London. This background helped him to get the perfect foundation for stating a perfume business. Guerlain helped the fragrance industry by giving idea of creating fragrances to suit individual people. By doing this the house became the center point of growing industry at that time. The house presented unique fragrances with the help of his two sons. Over the 170 years Guerlain house is in the perfume industry. The floral of the Guerlain perfume are timeless and appealing.

From the history we got the role of master perfumer within the company was handed down within the family. Jean-Paul Guerlain is the master perfumer of the company who is fourth generation down from the foundation of the company. The Guerlain floral house is famous for its unique and famous floral of all time. With its high quality scent company has long been known in the higher circles of European society. One of the legendary creations by the house is Jicky which is a delicious and intricate aroma that exudes a feeling of love and passion. Guerlain Shalimar is also one of the famous creations by house which is very sensual, exotic and warm fragrance. This floral has including musks, oriental resins, and dark chocolate, vanilla, precious woods. Shalimar is mainly preferred by women for their mysterious and alluring qualities. This older and classic scent is still extremely popular today for evocative of its time.  Like them the Guerlain Insolence is also a brand fragrance introduced by the house in 2006. The brand fragrance is a traditional scent by Guerlain. In the market Insolence is the fragrance for the younger customer. Insolence is a wonderful evening and night-time aroma. The aromas used in it tonka beans, violets, orange blossoms, roses, red fruit pulp, sandalwood, musk, iris, and raspberries. Some of the other scents introduced by the house are Petit Guerlain Women by Guerlain, Mahora Women, Love Is All Women, L'Instant Magic Women, Secret Intention Women, Coriolan Men, and Metallica Men etc. In 1994, the house of Guerlain was over take by the Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton that is LVMH. LVMH is the largest luxury goods company in the world. Like Guerlain many of the brand name company are also acquired by LMVH.
