Being optimistic is not something that is intangible. You can actually incorporate it to any activity you do each day. What’s more, if you resolve to do it on a regular basis, you will see a great change not only to your health but to your life in general. Here are some activities you can use to promote optimism in your life.

Rest may seem to be inactivity, but the truth is, it is the foundation of excellence in everything you do. Lack of rest can cause you to perform poorly whether in school or work. See to it that you give your body the rest it needs even just for ten minutes each day. During office breaks, find time to empty your mind of worry and fill it with good things. This will help reduce your stress.

Stretch your body every now and then. Stretching can do a lot of wonders to the human body. Even the people Jesus healed during His time only stretched their hands and became whole. Every time you stretch, you help improve blood circulation in your system, helping you feel and think better.

Don’t forget to laugh for your health’s sake. Laughter is an excellent way to free your body and mind of stress and tension. When you laugh, you allow your brain to release endorphins, the same chemicals that are produced every time you exercise. Endorphins are actually feel-good chemical, perfect for making your day.

On your way home, think of how you can pamper yourself. You can either treat yourself for some dessert or give your body a good massage. Self-pampering helps boost self-esteem. If you always feel alone, at least you have yourself. So don’t feel bad about making yourself feel good, it’s for the good of your own health after all.

Wherever you are and whatever you do, always maintain a healthy perspective about life. This will help you triumph over anything that tries to hinder you from reaching your dreams. Moreover, optimism has a lot of benefits other than the ones discussed in this article, but that’s a whole new topic.
