The Exciting World of Space Wolves

The story of the Space Wolves is a fascinating one. It tells us that the Primarch of the Space Wolves, Leman Russ, suddenly disappeared from the laboratories of the Emperor when he was quite a kid. He is said to have grown up among a primitive tribe in a far off planet called Fenris. It was all covered with snow and the people living there were warlike tribes. Leman was brought up by a pack of ferocious wolves that roamed about in the planet. He grew up to very strong and powerful and was undaunted. Later on the king of Russ who killed the wolves brought him to his palace and he grew up there. The king wanted him to lead his army. Leman very soon learned all the human war skills and proved to be very strong and courageous. He won many battles for the king too. After the death of the king, he ascended the throne accompanied by his two wolf brothers who had survived the wars.

His fame as a great warrior spread far and wide. When the Emperor heard about him, he understood that Leman was one of his Primarchs. Leman did not want to submit to him and proved how strong and valiant he was. But he was finally overpowered by the Emperor and gave in to his superior martial prowess. In the end the Emperor accepted his subordination.

The game of Space Wolves is based on this exciting battles of the different characters depicted in the story. Leman became the Commander of the Space Wolves Legion. Unlike the other standard companies, the Space Wolves have warriors such as the Blood Claws who shriek and charge into battle using their assault weapons. They also have the Long Fangs who are the most veteran and experienced warriors in the Legion. The Space Wolves has a unique organization of 12 great companies that have their own Wolf Lord. He is the authority and he is answerable to the Great Wolf only. Space Wolf models are available at hobby stores as well as online. Their are even book that have  painting guides. Some of their books also show how to build the models and even show the different tactics of winning Warhammer 40,000 battles. The table top war game WarHammer 40,000 is available online and is shipped worldwide by United Kingdom. The box set contains miniatures of the Space marine characters that are made of plastic and can be assembled easily. Additional boxed sets have all the characters like the Grey Hunters, Wolf Guard in power armor, Blood Claws and others.
