Becoming a security guard is the thing which you should give a second thought before involving in that business. This is so because the job is risky as well as sometimes very boring. Many times the profile does not require much hard work as compared to the people working with other nuclear sites or a defense agency.  The job requires a license and for that the person has to prove his skills in front of the officers as getting license is also not an easy job.

·         Call your local job service center or a security company to identify whether or not your state requires a license to work as a security guard.

·         For your perfect training, find out a local security companies. They provide license but for that you will have to pay them some amount of money.

·          After getting the best offer among all, ask about your uniforms. Mostly companies provide uniforms and you pay for them out of your check.

·         If you are highly skilled with some weapons, then ask the company for the armed guards. This is so because armed guards are considered more in making money then the unarmed guards. But many times it happens that the armed officers have more responsibilities and high risk of their lives but for getting more they have to cooperate with the things. If you are working as an armed guard then you have to get different kind of license for it.

·         Do not compare your work with a police officer because in doing so you will only trouble your job. Your work is only to protect the property assigned to you.

·         After all that find out the contracts that the company offers. Contracts can be long term as well as short term depends on the work.
