Although the costs of hiring a private aircraft may be seen by some as excessive, there is often a range of factors which are involved in setting these prices.
Although the costs of hiring a private aircraft may be seen by some as excessive, there is often a range of factors which are involved in setting these prices.

One of the most obvious causes of price fluctuations in both commercial aviation and air charter services is the cost of fuel. As the prices of jet fuel increases so, obviously does the costs of flights; when prices come down, again, so do the costs associated with private jet hire.

There are, though, other costs associated with private aircraft. For instance, in order to comply with national, European and international safety codes of practice, private aircraft must be thoroughly and regularly maintained. These maintenance tasks usually involve hiring engineers or other technical staff to ensure that all airplanes comply with all safety levels. Because private aircraft are usually independent from commercial air companies, the costs of these maintenance tasks must be met by the more exclusive number of clients who utilise private aircraft businesses.

Because private aircraft are often commissioned to fly to destinations which are not used by more commercial flight companies or to places which are remote or difficult to access, there are additional costs associated with this. Usually, flying to these types of places can involve negotiations with local authorities in order to secure landing permissions. This can often involve additional administrative costs or charges connected to securing a landing space.

Because most private aircraft offer additional luxuries which other forms of flying don’t, such as a la carte dining or indulgences such as private transfers these costs are also passed on to the customers.

Here at Jetair we can provide both businesses and private individuals with a range of private jet hire options. With a range of options for luxurious extras, our flights can be affordable and indulgent.
