Security guard has several styles for their uniforms which vary company to company, but there is something in common with all. Commonly a perfect uniform of a security guard includes a polished and professional appearance.

By looking at the current scenario, security has become as important as the basic needs to survive. Everyone requires a perfect security guard for their safety and hence the role of several security guard companies becomes more prominent. Security guards have several styles for their uniforms which vary company to company, but there is something in common with all. Commonly a perfect uniform of a security guard includes a polished and professional appearance.

The uniform must be decided for warmer as well as colder weather. The style may vary as it will depend on the security role the employee fills. This is confusing. We can understand it with some examples like a doorman mostly wears a jacket and tailored pants in winters but that jacket cannot be wore in summers and hence with the common sense some other style is used for summers. Mostly the changes done for winters are the changes of long sleeved shirts to short sleeved ones. For winters, overcoats are added to help security guard in dark cold nights.

While deciding the uniform, it is essential to take care of the budgets. The cost is decided according to the individual pieces included in the uniform. The pieces include

  • Number of pairs of uniform pants which will be provided for each security guard?
  • Number of shirts will be provided? (for each season)
  • Is an overcoat or jacket needed?(This depends on their choice)
  • If the footwear is also included in the uniform and not purchased by the employees and how many pairs would be required?

Either the money is compensated as by taking as a cleaning money from the security guard or as a rent of the uniform. It varies from company to company as it is decided according to the most suitable choice for their company.

There is a list of various other security accessories which are provided to them. These are

  • Batons
  • Badges
  • Body Armor
  • Emblem identifying that they are part of your security team
  • Flashlight
  • Gun holster
  • Hats
  • Metal detectors
  • Name tag
  • Radio
  • Tie

Now, if you are deciding a uniform for your security guard then consider the following point.
