The main platform of the story is the conflict between Alice and the Queen of Hearts. Alice and the Queen are on opposite sides of adulthood that is represented with the colour red, and can be connected straight to menstrual blood and thus fertility. Alice is just becoming an adult whereas the Queen is developing past it, but in a sense the Queen is just an over grown child that opposes Alice?s vibrant progress.

Alice in Wonderland really is a good representation of a coming of age story & the hidden morals educate the reader main lessons about growing up and changing into an grownup. The story also offers fantastic fancy dress ideas.
