Use the right hand to sew afterward! It is quite an exquisite process which will leave no invisible stitches in sight!

There is always an unchanged accessory – scarves in vogue whatever fashion trend may come next! Scarf, the most expressive fashion item that can most precisely identify individual characters, can always seize women’s hearts. And the Hermes silk scarves, I am afraid, are the most expensive scarves in the world. So what should be held attributive to its value - It’s its fashion and its exquisite workmanship! Here, and I would like to share something with you!

Step one

Put the white silk with given size on the printing table which is imprinted with required patterns and colors in line with marks. The silk screen printing block can be as many as 40 more with one for each color.

Step two

Drop the painting to one side of the painting block after matching the printing block patterns with the scarves patterns. It is not easy to decide on the dropping speed rate and amount of painting needed, and this requires long-time working experience. There are two series of patterns for the Hermes Scarves– the spring series and the autumn series - annually. And each series is inclusive of 12 patterns, with six of them completely new and the other six modified from classic patterns. Starting from the choosing of the theme, the Hermes Scarves may need as long as 18 months to complete its whole processes including design, color-matching, plate-making, coloring and edge-curling and so on.

Step three

Use a push-plate to push the painting from one side to the other and then reverse the direction! Remove the painting block and then outlines of the scarves will come out.

Step four

The silk will be tailored to given sizes. A scarf will be completed after manual technicians having curled the lines of the scarves which has been through color-fixing processes like cleaning, steaming and baking, drying and so on.

However, the gentlest process like edge-curling will take at least 30 minute per piece. First of all, spread the silk scarf with the left hand before curling it inward. Use the right hand to sew afterward! It is quite an exquisite process which will leave no invisible stitches in sight!

Generally speaking, employee in Hermes Company will have to take a three-year-long training period before they are qualified to be a mature worker. It is a job that requires patience, love and conscientiousness. And however trivial error is not allowable for the creation of a Hermes artwork which has artfully integrated fashion and fine workmanship!
