What Issues Should Be Noted while Using the Electric Blanket

As we know, electric blanket can prevent us from cold weather and keep us warm while sleeping. Many people especially old people like using it in winter.

Though electric blanket can keep the bed warm, comfortable and hygienic, safety comes the first, we should be very aware of this while using it. To prevent from accidents, specific attention is being paid as follows:

1.       We should read the instruction carefully before using it ,we'd better ask experienced people for guidance.   

2.       The electric blanket is suitable for hard board bed, not for the Simmons bed, steel bed or sofa bed with soft, due to the force on the hotline after the twists and turns in the thrust or susceptible to deformation or fracture, which can lead to accidents. 

3.       Keep the electric blanket tiled on the bed and place it between sheets and the pads, do not put it  on cotton mattress, since heat transfer is slow, so that local temperature is too high which can easily burn the inner components.   

4.       Don't fold the electric blanket while using, in order to avoid heat concentration, high temperature which may make the Ministry of local overheating. Using the electric blanket, we’d better not fold it every day. For it will affect the electrical properties of hot tensile strength and the twists and turns, which may result in hotline fracture.  

5.       Generally the electric blanket has three control switches, namely closed, warm, and holding third gear. Before bedtime, first switch to warm-file .About half an hour later, the temperature can reach to25 ℃.Before going to sleep, switch it to holding files, if you do not need to keep warm just switch to close the file. Use warm-file, preferably not more than 2h, if it's used for long ,It's easy to make blanket insurance unit damaged.   

6.       We can't use electric blankets together with hot water bottles or other apparatus and do not use the fire pit since the heat of other heating appliances can accelerate aging and shorten the life of blanket.   

7.       After charging the electric blanket, for the blanket which cannot meet proper temperature should be immediately, we should cut off the power in time.  

8.       In case of power outages, disconnect the circuit to prevent calls unattended and lead to accidents.      

9.       Check the power plug carefully before using it, to ensure whether the wire outside the electric blanket, the temperature controller can work well .if electric blanket is not hot or just part of the fever that may be faulty electric blanket, we should immediately disconnect the power plug for servicing.   

10.   Do not use needles or other sharp weapon to pierce the blanket. with great caution while removing fuse.

11. Using the electric blanket for the children, the elderly, or patients, we should pay attention to the patient urinary incontinence, or sweat, wet blanket, which can cause the hotline short, if blanket is wet, it is timely to dry, orpower dry before using. Be careful to take proper temperature to prevent overheating hot.
