The outlet for E-commerce exporters ---Looking from Cheating-Gate

On February 21, 2011,the Chinese electronical commerce magnate Alibaba exposed their inner scandal that 1107 international Gold Suppliers(which account for 0.8% on Alibabas member) , with the help of Alibabas salesmen , made the international frauds happen.This matter cause much credibility decrease among international traders ,then where is the outlet for international traders? How will the Chinese exporter and B2B website to deal with such kind of matters? Will they build any sytem to avoid such fraud happen? We will waiting expectantly for the result.

On February 21, Alibaba exposed the biggest international B2B E-commerce platform fraud in the history. And in 2009 and 2010, there were 1219 and 1107 chinese suppliers respectively involved in cheating the international buyers.For this reason ,the Aliababa CEO Weizhe and Lixuhui immediately took the blame and resigned. 

As exposed by some experts ,the main reason for the fraud exists in the verification and auditing procedures Alibaba to suppliers. This will lead greatly negative effect to Alibaba B2B platformf credibility and also cause global buyersf suspicion towards Chinese B2B platform.

 

B2B has the credibility risk

As for B2B companies , they take double risk ,including buyersfs trust-in level and supplierfs credibility level .Firstly , they should keep buyers trusting in their B2B platform , and then they should ensure the normal operation for qualified suppliers. From the export procedures, the original risk for fraud is from supplers, in another word, if we can manage the suppliersf quality on platform well ,then the fraud events will decrease greatly.

After Alibabafs success on B2B , several chinese B2B companies are growing up .Up to now , it has fierce competition among them. Because of this ,B2B tradefs businnes operation become lager on scale . Early or later ,Alibaba and made-in-china financed and came into market. The fierce competition and finacial needs ask for much higher requirement on their proffesional performance. 

From Alibaba B2Bfs 2010 3rd season report, Alibabafs total income were up to 14.49. The premium members are over 1,000,000, which increased 45.76% compared to last year ; the net profit is about 10.60, increasing 44.7%.

Driven by higher performance accomplishment and benefit,the total registered menbers amount in Alibaba was updated day by day . Pursuing better proffesional performance at the cost of ignorance of supplierfs audit and well managing. This ignoracne lead to 1219 and 1107 problem members in 2009 and 2010, and this is called 2.21 Cheating-Gate Event. 

Waiting for much more effectively audit and managing system promoted by B2B

After Cheating-Gate Event ,B2B companies need to think much more .The problem is how can we audit and manage well with these registered members and ensure suppliers to be standard enough..In another word,it lies on if B2B companies can make a much more effective audit system  for registered members and if they can manage and supervise well when operating these rules.

In the light of auditing and supervising problems in B2B , another Chinese well-known B2B platform ECVV had made a new audit program and put forward a new verification system. Know from CEO Chendong in B2B, this verification is united with Chinese Cormercial Ministry, is aimed to promote Licence Verification for exporters in China.On February 25,the testing edition of Licence Verification will be issued.

Facing with the credibility crisis, many B2B platforms have their own ideas and also make appropriate actions..But when cill a authorized and effective credibility system appear and who can save this credibility crisis for Chineses Exporters? We will wait expectantly for the result.
