NLP is drug free, non invasive and extremely effective in reprogramming those bits of our psyche that make us do things we would rather not do anymore.
NLP, or neuro linguistic
programming, is widely recognised as an extremely effective method of
hypnotherapy. Like any skilled therapy it is of course necessary to have your
neuro linguistic programming done by a master practitioner – and if you do, you
will realise how and why the technique is so effective in altering behaviours
that you feel you no longer wish to have.
Neuro
linguistic programming works, basically, by persuading your own psyche to
change the way it thinks or acts. Have you ever stood in front of a mirror and
repeated a phrase or mantra for success? NLP
does something very similar, but it does it directly to your subconscious, and
it uses various external stimuli (like music) to help create the right mood for
those phrases and mantras to go in.
The
use of music can be central to neuro linguistic programming, certainly if you
intend to try the technique at home (which you can do, by taking a hypnosis
download from sites like the Max Kirsten hypnotherapy website). Certain types
of designed music are theoretically able to engender a more receptive
subconscious state – effectively a kind of waking self hypnosis, whereby the
subject prepares himself or herself to receive the messages that he or she is
repeating, without necessarily thinking about those messages on a conscious
level.
NLP speaks straight to your
subconscious, and does so when your subconscious is in a properly receptive
state. The effect is for the phrases and mantras you repeat during a neuro
linguistic programming session, to bypass the higher parts of your
understanding and go straight in at base level.
It
is this base level of your consciousness where all of your “operating
commands”, if you like, are held. We all know what we mean when we say that we
did something “subconsciously”. We mean that we did it without thinking. That
is the whole purpose and point of NLP.
Neuro linguistic programming allows its subjects to do the things they want to
do, without thinking – or to stop doing the things they do not want to do,
without having to think about how.
A
journalist who worked for a very famous men’s magazine once booked a neuro
linguistic programming session with Max Kirsten (the man behind the clinic
behind the web site mentioned above). The purpose of this session was to stop
the journalist from smoking.
His
testimony is a testament to the power and ease with which NLP can make us become more like the people we really want to be.
This journalist went out for a long press night and not only didn’t smoke; he
even forgot that he ever had smoked! Similar testament is forthcoming from the
majority of people that try to give up smoking using neuro linguistic
programming, clear proof of the power of the technique.
One
of the great things, of course, about NLP
is that it gets the right results without having to use drugs or any other form
of invasive treatment. If you are interested in changing your life positively
and easily, it could be just the thing for you.
